Volunteer Requirements

As an association, we need to ensure that our athletes are provided a safe environment to have fun and play hard. USA Hockey has the SafeSport system in place so that athletes are protected from physical abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, and other types of misconduct that can be harmful to players and participants. Locker room monitoring is a key part of this, and USA Hockey, D6, and Bloomington Girls Hockey Club have the expectation that all “hockey moms” are certified through SafeSport. Additionally, all adults filling the role of Team Manager or Coach will also need to be SafeSport certified. Please work through the following steps to prepare for a successful and safe season for all players/participants as soon as possible, but no later than October 10th
