Bloomington Girls Hockey Club

VISION

The Bloomington Girls Hockey Club (BGHC) was created in 2012 as part of a Cooperative Agreement between Jefferson Hockey Booster Club (JHBC) and Kennedy Hockey Booster Club (KHBC).  BGHC was chartered to govern the rules, processes and activities for all Girls youth hockey in Bloomington, including treasury, registration, ice allocation, fundraising, recruitment and communication.  JHBC and KHBC alternate every year hosting the Girls youth teams, and Girls players will have the opportunity to continue playing hockey after the 14U level with their high school.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Bloomington Girls Hockey Club is committed to providing a fun, fair, safe and drug-free environment for all youth Girls hockey players in Bloomington.  It will strive to create an environment where players, coaches, parents and volunteeers develop a love for the game, and a true respect for Girls hockey players throughout the world.  The primary focus will be to build character, sportsmanship, competitiveness, confidence and self-esteem, and players will learn the value of hard work, integrity, discipline, teamwork, commitment and respect.  The ultimate goal is to prepare Bloomington Girls hockey players for high school hockey and beyond, and the life lessons learned on and off the ice will shape the future of every player in the organization.
